Your story is your gift

Hands down... storytelling is one of the most important things you can do to create powerful content that connects with your audience.


And the key as with anything in branding and business... don’t over complicate it.


It’s just telling a story. That’s it.


1-2-3 tutorials are a dime a dozen. But if you craft your method and your knowledge into a story people will remember.


Storytelling transforms content and gives your audience that “Aha!” moment. They are seeing their own transformation in the way you tell yours.


It doesn’t have to be a big near-death experience, and it doesn’t have to be perfect. The important thing is that you tell it, and connect it to your message.


If you’re struggling to find a story that connects to your message, this is what I do:


What did I do today that made me excited or created an ah-ha of my own? How does that experience or topic relate back to my core message?


For example...


I’ve been working out a lot lately. It's challenging, I literally curse my trainer under my breath when doing mountain climbers hoping he doesn't hear! And just when I think I can’t do any more, the clouds part, the endorphins peak and I have that special glow. I’ve already created a win for the day! And I am excited. That's how branding and creating content can feel too... you dig in, it’s grueling at certain points but when you’re finished... you feel fantastic and like you strengthened your branding muscles...
