I Signed Up for a Half Marathon… And It Changed How I See Marketing

Okay so… I’m training for a half marathon.
Who am I?? 😂
And honestly… it’s been so fun.
Yes, there are moments where I’m like
“why did I sign up for this??”
but overall… I feel proud. Energized. In it.
And somewhere mid-run, something clicked.
You don’t get results from thinking about the race.
You get results from training for it.
And marketing works the exact same way.
You can think about posting.
Think about building a funnel.
Think about “getting more visible.”
But until you’re actually in motion with a plan…
nothing changes.
Most people aren’t lacking effort.
They’re lacking structure.
They show up in random bursts.
They try things inconsistently.
They rely on motivation instead of a system.
And that’s why it feels exhausting instead of sustainable.
So here’s the real question:
Do you actually have a plan for your visibility…
or are you winging it every week?
Because when it’s structured…
it stops feeling heavy
and starts feeling clear. Xo, Jessica
