How Often Should You Show Up?

A client asked me last week:
“How often should people hear from us?”
Here’s what I told her:
Way more than you think.
Most business owners are worried about “being annoying.” But the real problem?
You’re not even being noticed.
Here’s what the data says:
It takes 12+ brand impressions before someone even considers engaging
Less than 10% of followers see the average Instagram post
Only 20–30% of your email list opens any given message
People scroll past 122 marketing messages before lunch
So when you show up once a week—or whenever you “have time”—you’re not building a brand. You’re a blip.
Here’s the truth:
🚫 Repetition doesn’t annoy people.
✅ Inconsistency makes them forget you exist.
That’s why visibility needs to come from more than one place. At a minimum, it means:
Email → consistent, value-packed sends
Social → frequent, story-driven posts
Funnels → automated journeys running 24/7
Ads → targeted impressions to stay top of mind
It’s not about shouting louder—it’s about showing up enough to actually be remembered.
