Committing to your brand. What the heck does that mean?
It goes well beyond the pretty fonts, colors, aesthetics, palettes. There’s a brand commitment that needs to take place.
This isn't hard when you own your value when you own everything that you’re up to.
So how do you commit to a brand? What if you get bored or like several different things? It doesn’t have to be hard. Let me first tell you why it’s important to commit to a brand.
Remember, just because something is second nature to you doesn’t mean it is to everyone else.
Showing up consistently to your audience is what’s going to help them to remember you. So this is why we need to commit. And your brand will change and evolve, but most of the time, your values do not.
What are your brand values? This is something we need to figure out first. It’s super important. Ask yourself what you stand for? What are the non-negotiables that you want to be representing to the world? What is meaningful to you? What do you want to contribute and give back to the world? And yes, some brand’s values will overlap with others, but regardless you will be unique and you.
That last one was hard for me, honestly, because I didn’t want to change the world necessarily. But if I helped someone and it had a ripple effect, then great.
Showing up consistently from this place of brand value is what will allow your followers to start knowing you, liking you, trusting you. Your audience will resonate with you based on your brand values because they share the same personal values as you.
Keep showing up, keeping adding value, keep sharing your authentic self!
